Goodbye Manhattan

Last day. To keep the tears away we took ourselves to the US Open at Flushing Meadow. Thrilling view of the Mets stadium across the road (OK, I love baseball).

Then the wonderful organisation of the US Open. So slick, so exciting. And then so much rain! But they even cleared that up efficiently and we saw the number one women's player put out the defending champion. Great game.

Back into the city for farewell pizza in the village and to catch our flight. But not without a last dash to the shops ;-)
