Extending the conversation

So the week, and the day, finally arrived. The conference we have been talking about for more than a year, and living and breathing for several months, is actually happening. In the morning we had the opening ceremony, with the Vice-Chancellor, Guild Mayor and two distinguished academic speakers; then an afternoon of paper presentations, while in the building next door the young people were running their own workshops and activities. Now it's the 'open space' session that ends each day, when children, young people and adults come together to reflect on what has been going on.

Sorry not to post this on the day. It has been a very busy week!
