Andy

A model model, posing for his portrait. 
Extra: Halfway there.

I tried to paint Andy on Yupo —
Uncooperative, slippery, slicky.
I refer to the paint, not the model,
For the surface is plastic and tricky.

I abandoned my plasticky painting
When our time and our patience was done.
But I'd promised a portrait to Andy
And the battle had not yet been won.

For the drawing kept wobbling and shifting
As the model moved ever so slightly
And the plasticky paint wouldn't hold on
To corrections made boldly or lightly.

So I shot me a reference photo
And I hope to redeem my first try.
I may post an improved (one hopes) effort
When the slippery surface is dry.
