Gone Fishing

Up and out early ready to catch our boat trip.It was really cold and blowy so we wrapped up warm and boarded the Wavedancer.
When everyone was ready we were on our way. We got to see four distilleries from the sea all with their names written in big black letters.
On our trip we saw seals,an otter, feral goats, deer that swam to the islands, cormorants, gannets, eider ducks, black backed gulls, terns and according to the Skipper wild haggis. The Skipper also explained that the whisky here is real whisky not alcopops like the Speyside  whiskies ;)
I do nt drink but the others got to try some , one or two for those not driving, and the rest of the journey was very merry.
Near  the end we had a go at fishing, difficult when the boat was rocking so much but I managed to catch some:)
After we had warmed up and visited the loo, we were on the boat for over three hours and although there was a loo on board I did nt want to chance using it ;) we went to Ardbeg and had a really good lunch, sea bass. It's amazing how many people were visiting and having tours. Gallons of whisky are made each year and we see the lorries carrying the malt go by where we staying everyday.
The car was really dirty so we went to Bridgend to wash it. We then went for a wonderful walk through the bluebells n the sunshine. Saw a Sparrowhawk, grey Wagtails and a dipper as well as he usual woodland birds.
