Elan Valley - Backblip

A very soggy start to the morning and disappointing after the last couple of gorgeous days, but between the showers we managed to dry off the awning and get it packed away.

Then off for a drive and explore round the beautiful Elan Valley, mostly in the rain sadly but it was still very beautiful and we drove the mountain road over to Aberystwyth stopping for a cuppa at Devils Bridge.  On the way back we took the high road through Llangurig where my ex-husband's sister lives and called in on her.  Lovely to see her again (we're still very good friends despite her Brother!!!)  more tea and lovely homemade scones and lots and lots of chat.

Once back at the caravan site we spent some time in Nettie's van, she and I did some stabbing (needlefelting) whilst our husbands talked about things they were interested in, fishing and aviation were a couple of the subjects being covered, oh yes and politics too, yuk..

Needless to say dinner was late, partly because the gas ran out - the air was blue ........
