The Rudolph Steinborn Mystery
Which makes this annual attempt at Vergissmeinnicht (Forget-Me-Nots) somewhat appropriate.
I live in a part of Wiesbaden where all the streets are named after flowers, except for one little square called Rudolph-Steinborn-Platz. Googling him turns up nothing interesting at all (other than some 19th century Rudolph Steinborn in Bremen) and I haven't been able to find out anything about him.
Who was Herr Steinborn? And why does it matter to me? I'm a curious chap, is all. Maybe he was the equivalent of the Fairy Boy of Leith or the Croglin Vampire. It is more likely that he was some local worthy who like to sit on a bench that was on his way home though.
And meanwhile "Hallo Friday Evening - I'm so glad you're here..."
