Tour de Yorkshire

The Tour came to Pickering today. This is the break away group as they headed out of the town. The rider in Orange eventually led the riders up Cote de Goathland and was third up Cote de Robin Hoods Bay to lead the King of the Mountains category with the rider in black and yellow not far behind.

Managed to see the last part of the race as this group splintered and only two remained. Eventually they were swallowed up by the peloton as it picked up pace with 8 km to go.

The finish ended up as a mass sprint and unfortunately a rider went own taking a number of riders with him just short of the line. Suspect a number of riders will not be fit to carry on tomorrow.
