All knees and helmets...

... seems to sum up this group of cyclists in today's Stage 2 of the pretentiously named 'Tour de Yorkshire' .


I wouldn't normally watch the event but I was in Ripon for an 'important someone' to attend Ripon Races. In such circumstances I often pop up to Fountains Abbey to photograph the deer. Today, the organisers had decided that Le Tour! would actually race past the main entrance to the Abbey.

Somewhere in the middle of this large group of cyclists are all the stage leaders but I don't think they are visible. At least they were moving at a moderate speed so I could get a shot or two, in the 75 seconds it took them to pass me.
