Clematis Montana Rubens is looking good. this, and another the same were well established when we moved in in 1994. Last year we were pretty ruthless at getting rid of the 6"diameter old wood at the bottom of this one. Delighted to say it has come back better than ever. Time to attack the other one now we know it can survive!
