Sunbeams

Painted Lady or Thistle Butterfly migrates from North Africa and flies up to a hundred miles a day to get here! Can you imagine marking the fragile little torso to trace its flying patterns!

I seem to be in butterfly mode! Although the Buddleia has died back in the garden, the butterflies have started to appear in smaller numbers. It must be the sunny warm spell during the last few days.

The men have broken the back of the harvest so if there are showers on Monday we can probably finish after that. A contractor came this morning to help bale the straw. We have had a grain report from the corn dealer where we have deposited the corn for sale. It seems we have lost quite a lot of weight in the drying process.

(Not sure how the white border appeared??)
