SarkDay 2- The Golden Wave

Another full day in glorious sunshine with a pre breakfast start on Dixcart Beach. As the sun rose it lit the gorse clad headland causing a golden glow on the sea and beach.
There are some interestingly textured and rocks on the beach to add to my collection of pattern images including the 'Grumpy Face' in the extras.
After a well earned breakfast we moved on to La Collenette where the horses and carriages were waiting for the first day trippers to arrive including a large party from a cruise ship moored near Guernsey who seemed a bit disconcerted that they had to walk everywhere. One of the handsome horses is in the extras.
After lunch at our favourite venue Nicole's we were invited by local resident Pam de-Carteret to explore and photograph her barns full to the rafters with a treasure trove of carriages, harness, old tools and anything else you care to mention. Nothing gets thrown away on Sark ! In the carriage shed I attempted some ICM on the waggon wheels, also in the extras.
Before dinner we were treated to an interesting talk on nighttime star photography by local photographer Sue Daly as Sark is the first island to be awarded Dark Sky Status. This whetted our appetite for a star session tomorrow night.
