Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Blue

Yesterday I mentioned the electronic gizmo built into some cameras which allows us some idea of what the world would look like if we could see only one colour, the rest being detected as black and white. Yesterday the colour was yellow, today it is blue.

The main photograph shows the old Newburgh RNLI lifeboat shed with its blue door We no longer have a lifeboat and the shed is now used to store anglers' boats.

The "extras".
1. A glass panel, hanging in a window, which is meant to represent the sea. A memento of a holiday spent in Nova Scotia.
2. An oil painting of daffodils in a blue vase.
3. Holyrood Chapel, our village church painted in the corporate colour of the Church of Scotland.

It has to be said that our world would be a miserably drab place if we could only perceived it in  black and white and blue!
