Tonight the girls played a Czech second tier women's league team, not the Under 16's opposition anticipated!!!

The girls played very hard and although they lost the game 7 -1 they hit the pipes 4 times through out the game and the opposition net minder was outstanding.

Mimi started and was very busy right from the off and lost six goals in the two periods she played.  Her goalie buddy Beca played the last period as She had played two periods in last nights game and she too was excellent.

A very creditable showing by the girls in what was a great game of hockey played in a great spirit and the respect between all the players was evident in the hugs and handshakes at the end of the game.

Maybe its a goalie thing but Mimi and Beca have a common bond they really are the best of friends despite the age difference and I am so happy for Mimi who is genuinely quite shy to see her share the friendship of her colleague but also the girls in the team, very proud dad.

I still do no think she grasps how big an achievement this is but that naivety is very endearing but I may be a tad biased.
