A Dear Friend

Today, along with Julia and Baby Alice,  I paid a visit to my dear friend, Marian, who lives in Congleton.   In the mid 1970's she and her husband, Eric, bought the Nutclough Tavern in HB, and at the time of their retirement they were the longest serving Licencees in the Calder Valley.    Marian will be 90 this year and is a very remarkable lady.   She lives alone and still drives her car - although not too far.   A lovely afternoon.
