SICKLY VINES

The grapes in front of our Hôtel de Ville are looking forward to a pretty miserable summer, being comprehensibly riddled with some wicked pathogen.

If I were a responsible citizen I would fire off an e-mail including this photo to Radio 4's Gardener's Question Time & let plant pathologist, Pippa Greenwood loose on the problem.

Trouble is - I've never had a reply to any e-mail I've sent to the BBC - I'm more likely to win €uromillions...
