Cathedral at night

Backblipping from yesterday - we stayed in Lincoln overnight and after visiting my mum & dad, my 2 brothers, ex SIL, and niece (both nephews were out playing football), Gary & I decided to head into the city & go out for a meal.

Up near the Cathedral is the touristy area with lots of places to eat, we ended up having a Thai meal which was lovely. Then we went for a walk round by the Cathedral, could hear what sounded like a bird of prey screeching and saw some birds flying overhead but it wasn't good enough light to get any photos.

We also saw lots of people in fancy dress, should have asked some of them for a photo but I didn't think of it until too late. We did ask one of them what the occasion was and apparently it was a range of Steampunk events taking place in Lincoln that weekend - more info here.
