Heading South . . .

. . .  but heading westwards when we first got off the ferry.  So handy that it is only 15 minutes from the door, as it was an early start.  Much less snow on the mountains than the last time we came south, but conversely many more campervans and motorbikes on the road.  Dramatic skies, but the weather forecast looks promising . . .

Terrific scenery and wonderful views, especially by Loch Hope and Eriboll.  Drove round the Assynt coastal road via Drumbeg, an amazing single track road with 25% gradient!  Not for the faint-hearted, but luckily the brakes and gear box did what they were supposed to do.  Well worth it too - stunning scenery and a beautiful spot.  Another highlight of the day was seeing two partridge.

So great to be back in the campervan again - and luckily Ollie's gippy tummy has cleared up just in time!
