Buffalo herd Hebgen

Came across this herd who had just stopped for a mother to give birth to a calf. It was inspected by members of the herd then licked clean by the mum. After about 15 minutes it got up on it's spindly legs and walked around it's mum.
My friend who has lived in Montana all his life has never seen a birth of a wild buffalo. I feel very fortunate : )
