A slice of Lesley's life

Happy Birthday Ro!

A very special day today as Albi received her first ever lunch invitation to help celebrate our friend Ro's birthday. Taking into account where everyone was coming from, timings and the need to be dog friendly we found ourselves in the other side of Chiswick in a new to me* pub. Considering the food was fairly low down on the selection criteria it was a pleasant surprise that there was a good choice and it was really quite decent. A very lovely end of the week treat.

And a nice distraction for me whilst Jackson was mere metres away in his first lesson in a class. Slightly unfortunate timing as they have tests next week so were revising a year's worth of work which did cause him to feel a little anxious about what he needs to do to catch up. But overall a very positive experience and he is really happy he has done it. The weekend is going to be spent concocting a catch up plan.

Anna meanwhile has spent the day being given SATS pep-talks and sucking up the news that her scribe for the week is non other than the head teacher. So, no pressure there then.

And this morning there was a little run.

And this evening there is more Line of Duty.
