The second

or perhaps third delight of the day: a reading by Carol Ann Duffy, including her wonderful attack on the attempt to stop us writing county names in addresses, and accompanied by the virtuoso  John Sampson on crumhorn and a dozen other instruments.

Earlier I was breathlessly privileged to see the peregrines - one in glorious sunlit flight.

And then of course in the tiny world of North West Malvern, we returned Green councillors both to the MHDC and the county. And it was pleasure to be able to complete the circle by congratulating JR, our country councillor, who was at the poetry reading which in turn was organised by the Book Co-op where his wife is a volunteer.
