British Ironworks Centre

We stopped off at The British Ironworks Centre in Shropshire on our way to Anglesey. This is "The Knife Angel". It's a 27 ft high sculpture made entirely from knives collected by police forces in England and Wales during an amnesty which started in 2012. It was created to bring awareness to the consequences of knife crime. It was designed and created by artist Alfie Bradley as a monument against violence and aggression. It's hoped that it will eventually occupy the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square and today we signed a petition to help that to happen.

We're currently staying in a hotel in Beaumaris where the wind is rattling the window frames. Apparently it's going to get windier tomorrow.
