Autumn at Careywood

A cloudless day in the Waikato today and in the early morning mist we woke to the soft sounds of duck shooters in the distance bagging their first catch of the season.
The trees in the garden are burnished more day by day and it's time to begin another pruning round of many of them...mostly done by Dr D and his extended chainsaw and occasionally we call on Bryce the arborist.
We're off to hear our choir (Hamilton Civic) perform tonight. It'll be a treat.
