Day 61: Dorchester-on-Thames

It is easier to admire the well-trained Wisteria in large.

My parents appeared and we headed out to Dorchester-on-Thames for a change of scene; it is a characterful place., and there was an art festival going on, so lots of people were visiting (everybody and their dog, in fact). We visited the Abbey and its grounds (where there was a most perplexing musical performance going on) and had a tea break at Lily's Tea Room (make mine a flat white), before heading over to Day's Lock where we found a curious swan (or was it suspicious?) and some striking sheep (which were friendly posers). The weir's pouring water was awesome.

'twas a most refreshing excursion, even if the weather was rather drab.

My other pics are on Flickr here (or right from here).
