Guernsey Cream

This beautiful clematis is growing in friend Ruth's garden. I was there today for a early birthday lunch. While enjoying drinks and nibbles in R's lovely sunny garden I was wandering with my camera .... like all good Blippers do!

This beauty won the gold medal at the Chelsea flower show 22 years ago. A worthy winner of one of the many gold medals awarded. R has nurtured and cherished her plant for all those years having been given it as a 60th birthday present from her brother and his family.
