Climber

Today Matthew finally mastered the climbing frame at Wolf Slide Park - pictured here waving hello with a bubblegum blue face after his favourite ice lolly.

After the park we headed to the newish indoor climbing centre of Clip n Climb. At which he happily climbed all the way *up* the first wall he tried but bumped himself a little on the way back down and scared himself enough to put him off. I told him that mummy had just fallen over right on her bottom coming down the wall she'd been trying and the thought of that made him giggle and cheered him up no end even if he did prefer to mostly watch after that. Mike found everything fairly unchallenging whereas I found it rather harder going! I got up one of the easier walls no trouble - but still climbed back down rather than being able to trust the rope enough to let go! Still had plenty of attempts on harder walls where I made it halfway or more before admitting defeat.

Think we'll leave it a while before trying again but I really do need to get the hang (pun intended) of the ropes!
