Mahogany chest

My father had this chest when he was posted to Sierra Leone during World War II, in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He must have had malaria as he still had occasional bouts when I was a child.
I was delighted to have it passed on to me and now has a variety of unfinished craft projects stored in it, knitting, crochet, and patchwork. Maybe one day.....
