Black and white

Well preserved Tudor houses, such as this one in Maidstone, are a treasured feature in many English towns. They are an eye feast and a tourist attraction. It just seems a pity that modern street furniture like this traffic light couldn't be sited just a few yards further away,, and out of the direct view of such special old buildings.
