Storm

Today was departure day for may of the 17 people here. Some left by airplane, some left by ferry. The day involved a great deal of logistical movement. Boats, cars, planes. Boats, ferries,ambulances.

Yes ... ambulances, yet another injury. Michael stepped heavily into the runabout with bags and ended up with a suspected fracture after falling badly. There was a suggestion of yet another heli-vac, but as the ferry was on the way and only 4 hours to Auckland, it was deemed the best option. However, it as very painful for him and he was picked up by ambulance at the other end.

Turns out it was just a very bad sprain with possible ligament damage, so a cast but no break fortunately.

The remaining people at the bay; Jim, Sue and our family, decided we should probably just watch TV and eat, drink and be merry for the rest of the week to avoid injury!

As we sat drinking our wine in the early evening a heavily rainstorm moved in. It kind our reflected the sprits in the bay ...
