Kangaroo Paws

I went to the nursery today to get some mulch, plants and flowers to spruce up the yard a bit after the cleaning. I came across this plant and HAD to have it. The buds are very soft to the touch and then it has this wonderful flower with an attitude. 

It felt good to work in the yard. The added color is just what the doctor ordered!

I am grateful to find new and interesting plants to add to my yard.
