La vida de Annie

By Annie

Cova des Coloms.

Dog walk today along the barranc de Binigaus, a ravine along which is to be found the spectacular "cathedral cave". There's nothing here to show the proportion, as Buster ran off after scaring himself with a fit of barking which set off powerful echoes. The ceiling is actually 24 metres high, and festooned with stalactites and colourful mineral stains from the dripping water. This image reminds me of a huge open mouth and throat: extras are a druid- or wizard-like image on one wall, and some of the grotesque almost facelike images on another. On the way back Buster was thoroughly spooked by three horses being ridden along the stoney track. Luckily they just ignored the din he made.
