Soussons Plantation

We were out this rather wet and misty morning with the bird group on Dartmoor wandering around Soussons Plantation.  The weather cleared a bit and we spotted Tree Pipets, Stock Dove, Garden Warbler and a Great Spotted Woodpecker.  Various other birds were heard but not seen by us. The walk continued out onto the moor and around the remains of old derelict tin mining buildings.  An interesting area worth exploring in better weather although the vibrant yellow gorse and some bluebells added colour to the scene.
