Wombat Rock

For one reason or another its been quite a while since CCN and I have trundled out to Wombat Rock.  Wombat Hollow is not just about the house, we do have 35 acres of magnificent bush to look after and on the north western boundary is the escarpment and "Wombat Rock".  We used to walk out to the rock on a daily basis when we had our little doggies, Georgie Wall and Nero.  Somehow it's never been quite the same since they passed away around four years ago.

To the north we look over Mt Blackheath and the amphitheatre.   This is an aspect that you can only see from our property so we always feel very blessed when we are sitting on the rock taking in the view.  It is truly quite spectacular.

The track really needs clearing and I'm thinking it might be time to call in the Boy Scouts and offer them a donation to give us a hand!!!.  Today we took some bright orange surveyors ribbon with us  and made sure that it was really easy to find your way to and from the lookout.
