Migrant in Moscow

Dusk

Beautiful colourful light this evening.  The image taken from Novinsky Boulevard, a section of Moscow's Garden Ring Road.  I looked up the name (Novinsky): one view has the origin coming from 'novini', apparently a form of canvas (painting) produced in a monastery founded there in the 1400s but long since disappeared.  Another view has the name referring to 'new' (lands), the area having been on the frontier of Moscow. The inhabitants (monks and nuns, monastic servants and artisans - stove makers and falconers) would have gazed at these skies too.
