"Christ on a bike!"

Remembering Ken. Barbara (centre) was overwhelmed by the turn out on her late husband's Memorial lunch. It was overwhelming for us too as we cherished those memories we use to share with them on Shell Island & on the canals. We bumped into a few RAF folk (pictured) that both Ken & my Dad used to hang around together in The Mess. I recall many nights with them as a glass collector in my student days, and they haven't changed one bit. The usual joke cracking and moaning about life (now social media) etc. Ken wanted his body to be given to science as opposed to a traditional funeral. I have never heard of this motive before, but in many ways it turned out to be a lovely send off. Such a remarkable man he was, he gave us the punch line.......

.......those little harmless quarrels Ken & Barbara used to have whilst camping, especially when things did not go his way.....

"Christ on a bike, Barbara!!!"

Priceless.

R.I.P. Ken
