Come On You Shaymen!!

I managed 10 km on the treadmill before breakfast, did some gardening and then walked down to The Shay Stadium in Halifax where I met up with Swarnog and his children to watch FC Halifax Town in their promotion bid  against Chorley for a place in the National League.

It was a scrappy match with quite a bit of added injury time and although The Shaymen took the lead, Chorley equalised. Normal time ended 1-1 and the match went into extra time.

It was a tense finish with FC Halifax securing victory 2-1 

A fantastic achievement. Let's hope the other local teams Bradford City and Huddersfield Town make it a promotion hat-trick.
