Hawes Water

No not that one!  This is the small "Lake" near Silverdale in the county.  Kanyl and I are having a few days away in his Motor Caravan.  After visiting the Cumbria Photography exhibition at Rheged we headed down the M6.

After settling in our chosen pitch we wandered off down a little private track (private to the caravan site) to arrive at a platform protruding out over the water with this view.  Oddly there wasn't a single bird in view.

We spent some very pleasant time practicing with Kanyl's digiscoping Kit, trying his polarising filter, and in my case messing about with possible panoramas.
