Macbeth's Stone, Meigle

That's what this huge (11 foot) stone is called. It is said that Macbeth was buried here. It was here thousands of years before Macbeth though, and has many cup marks over its surfaces, as well as modern graffiti. (Hey Scott and Amanda,!)
Hasty iPhone snap.
We stopped at twilight - I'd been looking for something else (the Belmont football pitches) for work related reasons, when over the top of the wall we saw the stone.
It's strange how sometimes these ancient things now find themselves in the middle of fields, gardens, houses and general domesticity albeit that the underlying landscape hasn't changed at all.
