Mother's Day (WOMW)

My Mother's kitchen was a place where she cooked many meals for the eight of us. Her yellow rubber-gloved hands were often in soapy dishwater. I remember many conversations with her there as did the dishes, mopped the floor, or prepared a meal for my father and the eight of us.
This is the view from my kitchen window. When I wash dishes in a soapy sink of warm water, or mop my kitchen floor, I think of her with gratitude for all she taught me about caring for home and family.
