A Long Way To Go For Ice-cream!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting today!

Mum said we were going on a mini-adventure this afternoon! We headed off in Alfie the new Campervan, and ended up in Southampton! We went there to meet up with our lovely friends from Northstar Conversions, who had turned this passenger van into our lovely new Campervan!! We met them before they headed home to the Isle of Wight on the ferry after a weekend away. There were a couple of little things they needed to 'tweak' and we are both very grateful for their continued support!

Anyway - Mum PROMISED me an ice-cream and because she was suddenly hungry we also stopped at the 'Golden Seagull' as our Swedish friends call it (how appropriate - at the seaside!). We enjoyed a SMALL burger meal. I got a few bites! And THEN! We shared an ice-cream from the Scooby-Doo ice-cream van! The same place we got ice-cream when we picked up our Campervan a month ago!

We enjoyed watching this big cruise ship go by! Wow! I don't think either one of us has ever seen a cruise ship up so close! Mum said it is the Britannia from the P&O line! Guess what we found out later? Our lodger (who stays with us only part time) had been away on a cruise to Norway last week and this was HIS boat!! They came back on it this morning and we saw it heading out again this evening! How cool is that?

Anyway, it was a long way to go for a burger and ice-cream, but it was a very nice little outing for me, Mum and Alfie!
