Peak tree

After last night's great celebrations, ending at midnight, my wife had a lie in but as the sun was shining out of a crisp blue sky I got up early and walked around Bakewell taking similar photos to yesterday but with less grey and more warmth.

Two extras from that trip including one of the largest lenses I have ever seen.

However, this view of the road from Ashford in the water towards Sparrowspit is my favoutire.

Lunch with friends at Marple Bridge (both now retired and looking very well) then back up the roads. The countryside both south and north of the Border looked spectacular and with traffic flowing freely it made for a very pleasant drive, despite the warning light constantly on.

Still, 5 and a half hours driving has made it a full day!
