Courgette circle

I've put my first courgette outside! Do you think my snail defences are sufficient enough?

Worked from home today as the neighbour came round for a 2nd attempt to stop our pipe dripping. It's still leaking grrr! As the lead pipe coming out the ground is no longer roundso it's hard to get a seal on it! He'll try another type of join another day, otherwise we need to start digging under the house which is not a preferred option!
