I've got my eye on you

There are different levels of hamster maintenance I have discovered.

I groom him every morning with a soft tooth brush which he seems to quite like. At the moment he seems to be itchy, so I thought it was time for a sand bath. 

These little critters live in the desert so it's all quite natural behaviour. Unfortunately, at this moment in time Hamish is having none of it.

I started by making him a big sand pit and putting him in it. He just climbed out. So a smaller one is in his cage. I'll keep an eye on him and see what happens.
