Today we walked, walked and walked some more. Partly through choice, mostly through getting lost. We're staying in the old Jewish quarter, surrounded by lots of visual clues to where we're housed. We wandered on the beautiful pathway along the River Darro, then up to the amazing Arab quarter. And then on to the imposing Cathedral in the centre of Granada. Today's sights include jaw-dropping panoramas, quaint cobbled streets, a man strolling proudly with the largest parrot I've ever seen perched on his arm and children playing peek-a-boo between travellers' rucksacks and the longest queues ever of young people waiting for the doors to open for a church service. And lots of smiling. But it's the sounds that are most arresting. The noise of people chatting, laughing, eating & arguing. As I write there's an impromptu concert just kicking off with energy and enthusiasm outstripping quality. It's excellent! The sounds of everyday life. So here we have three major world religions and people from every nation living side by side, noisily and happily. I think I'm falling in love with Granada, or maybe life.

And as an extra which will seem strange to most, I've also been taking the odd photo, here and there, with the title "Loo with a view". The extra pics are views from today's loos.
