Back in the male room

I am seated in an office, surrounded by heads and bodies. My body is consciously congruent to the shape of my hard chair. 24 people have signed up for my workshop, but 26 arrive. The organisers rustle up another desk and some chairs. There are students from diverse backgrounds, but male - to a man.

Eventually, it's over. I take the DLR to London City. There's a minor delay while the engineers check that the lightning strike the plane suffered on its last flight hadn't compromised the systems and then we're off.

Claire is in Edinburgh celebrating the end of her last placement. Megan, Angus and Ferdi are watching Black Books. I join them.
