Frantic Friday

As has become the norm in life, today was spent flailing from A to B to C. Then back to B to coordinate between A and C. One of my relatively new colleagues has observed and nailed the issue with 'triangulation' at our organisation. She sees everything as so complex it requires a 'production' mindset rather than simple 'processing'. She's had experience in the television sector, hence the terminology, but it's a fair point.

Left work as the sky was losing its light and had an inappropriate NSFW conversation with friend Hannah (see last Saturday's wedding blip) next to a busy bicycle thoroughfare along the Cam.

Later at an exhibition called Creative Reactions - artists basing pieces on scientific talks they'd attended - some of the theories and terminology were mind-blowing. I realise I've moved quite far from the science focus I had more of during university to my professional knowledge now being much stronger on project and people management, social science and anthropology. What use is being able to calculate the amount of carbon in a branch if you screw up your intro meeting with a South Sudanese minister by committing a cultural faux pas.
