Was a wee bonus finding out that Daughter were support tonight so we got through early to see them and very good they were too. Just a three piece but they do make a lovely echo-ey swirling sound which seems miles away from Elena Tonra's almost Ian Curtis like bleak lyrics. Hope they get recognition and go further, they could be something special.

...and if that wasn't enough then came Beirut. When Zach Condron walked into the stage you could see why the place was rammed with teenage/ early twenties girls. The lad and the band played a blinder, saw my first sousaphone solo and all went home happy.
