Viva LAviva

We took our Sligo RFC U12 Girls team to the national stadium (Aviva) today for a mini rugby festival. They were there to represent our province (Connacht).
It was an incredible day and a wonderful experience for the girls to play at a venue many rugby players will never get to play at.
I can honestly say that every one of our 17 player squad (including my daughters) played to their full potential. They were incredible - winning three matches and drawing one. They played as a team - rucked, mauled and tackled superbly and scored some great tries.
In the blip you'll see how Sligo girls (striped shirts) keep their shape while the opposition get sucked into the breakdown - leaving spaces for Sligo to attack.
Such a buzz.
After the blitz we had a tour of the Ireland dressing room and I sat where the great Brian O'Driscoll would have sat when he was playing for Ireland.
