SCRAMBLE!

It's all go on Wednesdays in my Mum's house. She (84) and her friend Val (72) clean the house from top to bottom. Callers are not welcome. Visitors and extraneous daughters are superfluous to requirements as they get in the way of the routine and don't do it properly and put things away in the wrong places. Mum can still make me feel like a clumsy 14-year-old. So I'm off to see my accountant Tim, who I've known since we were not much more than 14, and we'll talk about grown-up things, like the state of my finances!
