Crown No1 Restoration

I was really in the mood for a bit of workshop time when I got home from work this evening. The weather here has already turned warm, just 12 days into Spring so broke out the vest and wore my safety flip flops for the first time in months.

It was a good half an hour of working on the stove door which was encrusted with probably about 50 years of Sunday roast grease. I had to use the grinder with a sanding disc to get it all off! The last touch was a lick of heat proof paint, the first of many coats before I reassemble and insulate the door, ready to go on the stove.
