Just another sunny day

We are making the most of today's weather. The special waste collection is this week and so we have gathered all of our rubbish together neatly in front of the sitting room window, where it can readily be accessed when the lorry comes.

Mr L is enjoying the pleasure of being able to mow all of the grass in one go, now that the winter pond has dried up and the old cooker and fridge/freezer etc. have been moved.

I of course have the laundry out, including a large number of old pillowcases that have been harbouring fleeces for spinning "one day". The fleeces are now in a big black bag awaiting the waste collection.

In between times I found space in which to bake  a loaf for our supper. I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time in photographing bread although am unsure why. Perhaps it is because little else is so very eye-appealing. Certainly not the rubbish heap anyway.

Do you think that one day photographs will be able to capture smells? This loaf smells even better than it looks, being as it is flavoured with Sun-dried Tomatoes & Parmesan cheese.

I took a dozen shots and chose this one because it shows off the beautifully wavy line of semolina that I dressed the bread crock with before baking.

Ah, it sounds as though grass cutting has terminated. Time for me to get my walking shoes on. Low tide is imminent and Nell is impatient,
